Growing up in Philadelphia, I devoured cheesesteaks with friends, family, after school,on weekends…They were a go-to fast food that was better than fast food. When I joined the military and left Philly at 18 years of age, I was in for a culture shock - nobody could make a proper cheesesteak. During my 7 years of Naval service, I visited over 20 countries and countless cities and states in the U.S. There was always an eatery that offered a “Philly” or a “Steak and Cheese.” Just like the name was wrong, so was the food. So when I got out of the Navy in 2001, I knew I wanted to bring an authentic cheesesteak sandwich shop to my new hometown of Key West, Florida.

As those from Philly call it, is a sandwich made with thinly sliced ribeye steak.
The Philly Cheesesteak has been modified throughout the country and served a variety of ways but from the cheese to the roll, Mr. Z's famous cheesesteak is the real deal. Take one bite and tell us it's not the best thing you've ever eaten!

What better than to have a slice of Philly in the Keys. Great authentic cheesesteak (even had the WHIZ) but the sharp provolone made it feel real.
